Restaurant Information

With a career spanning across two continents and twenty seven years, Chef Fabio created an Italian culinary haven known as Fabio’s Restaurant located at 214 East 52nd Street in the heart of Midtown East.

Throughout his formative years in Rome, Italy and in NY, he perfected signature dishes such as Fettucine alla Fabio, made with porcini mushrooms and a delicate sauce that enhances the woody taste of the mushroom without overpowering the palate. Another classic dish includes the Risotto Crema di Scampi, made with the freshest fish and lightest of creams.

Fabio was a perfectionist both in the kitchen and out. He personally selected his produce and vegetables directly from the market daily, ensuring top quality and freshness of all his ingredients. The same freshness applies to the pasta dishes – all are homemade and great attention is paid to preparation and detail. He went out of his way to prepare dishes upon request for guests. At Fabio’s, you can be sure that Chef Kiku follows in Fabio’s footsteps to honor his tradition ensuring customers feel at home.

Came for Valentine's Day. Sat downstairs which was a bit more intimate than upstairs. Ravioli was delicious, veal cutlet was ok, tiramisu only ok also but the chocolate cake my date got was amazing. Highly recommend any pasta dish and that chocolate cake. Wine selection was small but not too pricey.

Loved it…every authentic Italian morsel…Fabio's new restaurant serves the most spectacular food in Manhattan…veramente! Been to New York 1000's of times. Ate at Fobio's for the first time. How did i miss this place for so many years? The filet was perfectly prepared and Ferrat our waiter was fantastic. The chocolate cake and teramasu was outstanding. Very authentic italian atmosphere and outstanding food. Treat yourself to the best!

Absolutely incredible service and food. We enjoyed our time here immensely. We were seated promptly and the waiter had excellent recommendations for us for wine and food. The Caesar salad was excellent and the dressing was one of the best I have ever had. We had the fresh pasta special, as well as the stuffed chicken breast and both were cooked perfectly. The chef then came out to our table and was so happy that we loved our food and service that he comped us an incredible panna cotta desert which I highly recommend. This place is truly a hidden gem and it won't be long until it is packed out!

I will never forget my dinner here. It was our first time there and the meal was one of the best we have ever had in a restaurant of this caliber. I do not say this lightly. It was exceptional. Our 9 year old daughter was with us. She is not a great eater but even she was in love with the food. The chef, Chico, came out to talk with us. He made us all smile. The food, the decor and the service all played a part in making it a very special evening . The cost is worth the memory I will keep . We will be back.

Truly amazing service. Chicco, the executive chef, is as friendly and welcoming as he is talented. Overall service was on point, above and beyond expectations. Went here on a Monday night at 7:30 and the restaurant was less than half full. My coworker (who ordered fish) and I (I got chicken) were both disappointed with the food. We suspect the chicken and fish were cooked separate from the sauce and then had it poured over. The chicken was cooked well but the sauce was very bland on both dishes. The lamb my other co worker ordered was great but the portion was very small for the price. Overall we found the meal to be ok, nothing worth complaining about to the staff but nothing worth us coming back.

Outstanding food and service. I had Lamb Chops which were cooked to perfection. Apps included Grilled Artichokes and Beet Salad. My wife had fish of the day encrusted in pecans...also very good. Chicco Asante is very pleasant and knowlegeable. Great place!

It’s my first time writing a review ever and I guess it’s because this place was amazing. The service was wonderful, the chef personally came to our table to tell us the menu and if we didn’t like his specials he cooked whatever we wanted. The food was delicious- the artichoke to die for! I had the red snapper with an amazing lemon sauce. The dessert was also delicous!!! Highly recommended, the place has a beautiful decoration and the people are very welcoming.

The ambiance is very comfortable and cozy. The owner of the restaurant greeted us and made conversation with us. He also gave us free dessert and limoncello drinks. He seemed like a very genuine and proud person who is excited to share his passion of food and cooking with everyone. He made us feel right at home. The service was outstanding. Everyone was very professional and made sure all of our needs were met without interrupting our meal and conversation. All of the food we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly, too. The portions were large and we did not find the prices to be out of the ordinary, especially considering how large the portions were. This was the best restaurant experience we had during our visit to NYC and we would definitely visit again.

Came here with colleagues on a business trip. Bread was good. Owner was nice. Restaurant was clean and classy looking. I ordered shrimp and scallops in risotto. It was mostly good except the shrimp was was either old or overcooked. I could barely cut it. The scallops were fine however.didnt want to complain considering the company i was with. I would still recommend it though.

Extremely expensive!!! But however these 5 stars are not for the food but for the great service by everyone. They are absolutely so genuine and amazing. Especially the lady at the front desk and the chef. He’s a great guy and so sweet. He added free tiramisu for us. If you have the money please go or even if you feel like being fancy. The place is beautiful too. Great spot for fancy dining!

Steak was very decently priced for a whole 24oz. We went for my friend's birthday and they were extremely courteous and welcoming despite us being collegiates. The chef was also very sweet, as he spoke to us in great depth about the restaurant, how he got into cooking, and more. Recommend if you're wiling to splurge a little, not only for the food, but also the overall experience.

My husband and I make it a point to come here EVERY time we are in NYC. This is some of the best food we have ever eaten...and we travel quite a bit. The staff is also amazing, and chef Chicco always comes out to see us, to the point that we now consider him a friend. I HIGHLY recommend trying this place if you have never been. The blue lights covering the arched branches welcomed us to come in and we are so glad we did. You will find a warm and inviting atmosphere, second to none. I went to this place last year around the same time and man, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS, the head chef came and talked to me and my mom the whole time and even served us our food, he even adjusted the recipe for one of his dishes for my dietary restrictions. It was a wonderful experience and the desert was to DIE for, I 100% reccomend this restaurant for everyone, this place deserves to be 5/5 stars!! ♡ I will definitely be coming back.

Walked in off the the streets in the pouring rain and ordered the Gnocchi. Before my food came out, the chef came out of the kitchen, and sat down at my table. He had a genuine conversation with me and my friend, it was phenomenal. Then the food came out, it was among the best pasta I have had in my entire life. I hope to make it back soon!

Sweet Jesus take out a loan. Figure $75 a head easy. Service is classic, food is fantastic, atmosphere, presentation, it's all there! Black linguini with Lobster! Only reason I gave it for is I cant afford to go back! My problem, maybe not yours. Oh, creme brulee to die for.

Had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant!! I was nervous because we were a huge party (with kids!) but they accommodated us with a somewhat secluded space and treated us like family! Before we walked inside patrons dining outside said this is the BEST authentic Italian spot in NYC and they were absolutely right! The service and food were amazing and we can’t wait to go back. All of our picky eaters enjoyed the food, service, and dessert. They have something for everyone (did I mention we also brought kids??). Can’t wait to go back :-)

Might be my new favorite Italian spot in NYC. Amazing appetizers and fresh homemade pasta. Excellent service and very reasonably priced. Went there for lunch randomly because it happen to be close by. Totally blown away. Had the pasta special that was stuffed with pear and some other goodies. Simply delicious. I rarely write reviews but I had to for Fabio that’s how good it was!

One of the locals recommended this restaurant to us while in town this weekend to move our son into his dorm at Marymount. We loved that it’s less than a block from the Courtyard Marriott too. Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted by staff and the chef - and after telling us of the specials; we ordered 2 of the 3 recommended meals. I had a homemade pasta called Socatini (not sure of spelling). It had four cheeses and pear inside little pasta pockets. It was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER PUT INTO MY MOUTH!!!! The other dishes ordered were exceptional as well. The staff were prompt and cordial and took time to explain everything to us. We will DEFINITELY be back and will plan our hotel stay nearby just so that we can visit and eat here again!! Well worth the money! THANK YOU for a wonderful meal and your generous hospitality! Flavor and freshness of the dishes was amazing. The service and attentiveness was exactly the right amount. We had two salads (arugula and the beets), pasta primavera, scampi risotto, and the NY strip special. Service, food, entire experience was great. Owner/chef took tome to visit each table multiple times. Offered to make any Italian dish you wanted if it wasn’t on the menu but we opted for 2 of the specials that were perfect. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Some of the best Italian food I've had in NYC. Food was very fresh. Next time I'm going to get the pasta where they prepare it table side. The service was excellent. They had love music which was appropriate for dining and they took requests. The decor was beautiful.

Not a single thing you could complain about!! From the moment you walk in you feel as if you are in Chef Chicco's home. He truly cares about your experience from service, to cocktails, to food. The waitstaff are warm, knowledgeable and provide great recommendations based on what you like. The food is absolutely unreal. There is literally a dish for EVERYONE! If you want creamy, spicy, savory, light, it's all there. Pasta alla Chef is a must try (homemade fettuccine with mushrooms, truffle oil, spun in the parmesan wheel by Chef Chicco himself). Also had the sole which was a nice lighter choice but super flavorful. Ensure you save room for dessert as that is one of Chicco's specialties. The tiramisu is legitimately out of this world. We were able to spend some time with Chef Chicco and learn about the ingredients he uses, his history with cooking, and how he came up with many of his dishes. This is truly a WONDERFUL dining experience form start to finish. Not to be missed when visiting NYC!

At the moment you come to this restaurant the waiters give you an excellent feeling. Very courteous hosts, it is a lovely place to to go out with buddies or with your date. yummy meals, experienced chief cook and stuff, competitive cost and attentive service. Highly recommended.

This spot is the one I like best. I visit many restaurants but to this one I go the most. The stuff is very affectionate and the cuisine they offer is so yummy. I never decline to have a nice dinner here. I highly recommend this place.

The best Italian restaurant in Manhattan....hands down Our meal was superb...The Service, outstanding! I can't say enough...try it for yourself ..... homemade strawberry ice cream with wild berries, wild salmon, sauteed spinach, pasta with a veal ragu...YUM

I was staying in town for work I visited this restaurant during COVID. I was greeted by a beautiful, classy outdoor converted (per state mandate) Italian restaurant. The owner and head chef, Chicco, absolutely took this experience to the next level. The food and staff were exquisite. I highly recommend the fried calamari (light batter with extremely fresh marinara) and the seafood ravioli (blend of seafood inside black pasta with a creamy blush sauce). The atmosphere and wonderful food provided an easy and delightful way to eat a meal and the top notch treatment guaranteed a return visit. 100% recommend.

Fabulous Italian restaurant. Went for valentines day dinner with my wife and Fabio Cucina offered an valentines day special menu offering appetizer, dinner, and desert. We opted for this and both my wife and I absolutely enjoyed our meal. I had the veal with portcini mushrooms and my wife had a filled pasta dish that was also fantastic. Bottomline if you are looking for typical pizza and spaghetti go somewhere else, if you are looking for a meal that will remind you of that moment you were in Italy with you loved one having that romantic dinner go to Fabio Cucina. The next time we are in NYC, we will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

This was one of the top 3 meals that I’ve had in my life period! Every course was excellent, the portions allow you to taste and enjoy the food without becoming overstuffed. We had the meatball appetizer that was perfection. I had the beet salad with Gorgonzola, arugula, and apples in a fig vinaigrette was amazing! The soups (lobster bisque/ actual lobster in it and the minestrone) were delicious. My main of pollo Cheese, Aged Balsamic Mushroom Reduction was delectable. My husband had the Bistecca Alla Florentina which was aged to perfection. The cheesecake was the best cheesecake I’ve had in my life!
