The History of Auden’s Kitchen
Auden was named one of the “Ten Best New Chefs in America” in Food and Wine magazine and his restaurant Biga earned a coveted spot on Esquire magazine’s “Best Bars and Restaurants” list and was also inducted into Nation’s Restaurant News “Fine Dining Hall of Fame.” With ten year’s of award-winning service at Biga, Auden looked for a new venue to expand his culinary creativity. “Where we are located (the Riverwalk), we are very driven by what’s going on downtown,” said Auden. “We wanted a different market, very local.” With his partners, Auden created Auden’s Kitchen, a casually spirited dining destination in San Antonio’s growing northern community of Stone Oak.

Our Space
Auden’s kitchen is divided into several different dining areas each that take on a ambiance of their own. You can take a ringside seat at the Kitchen Counter on the frontline where the cooks call orders, prep plates and pull savory selections from the wood-burning oven. Or sit at several inside dining areas like the Big Room or the Wine Bar. The Small Room caters to private parties and the outdoor dining is perfect on a cool spring evening.

Our Food
A lunch menu offers a combination of soups, salads, pizzas, and entrees like Whole Roasted Trout and Buttermilk Fried Chicken in the $10 – $15 price range. Our dinner menu opens up a little with a series of small plates like a Tempura Shrimp Bowl ($12) and Mussels and Fries ($10) alongside a list of large plates like Texas Red Rish Boat ($25), Smoked Pork Chop ($22) and Ribeye of Beef ($29). We also offer a brunch menu on Sunday and a An extensive, yet affordable wine list ($25 – $50), wine by the glass, imported and domestic beer on tap and selected ales.

Visit Boardwalk Bistro, a locally owned and operated restaurant featuring Mediterranean cuisine in a friendly, informal ambiance. Dine in the Bistro’s euro-styled interior, or alfresco nestled under Texas pecan trees. Power lunch by day or simply melt into the overstuffed chairs at twilight and let us wine & dine you. Friday and Saturday evenings come alive with jazz notes flickering through candlelight.

Sumo Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar is located on IH 10 between Callahan and Medical. We offer two distinct dining environments, the sushi bar and the table-side chef service. If you’re a fan of sushi, Sumo will not let you down as they have one of the best sushi chefs in town. If you’re a fan of dining adventures, we recommend sitting with one of their chefs who will cook your food right in front of your eyes. They really put on a show with food and knives flying around. One of the more interesting shows is building a tower of onion rings that they fill with oil and then light on fire. It looks like a volcano spurting flames. A chef doubling as table-side entertainment makes for a really good time, especially for groups.

Eat, Drink and Be Wary! Dick’s Last Resort is your destination for Smart-ass Funny Staff, Live Rock n’ Roll, Controlled Chaos for all who dare to enter. Dick’s is located smack dab in the middle of San Antonio’s ever popular Riverwalk. We occupy the basement (and former laundry room) of the Historic Nix Hospital. Fronted by an exceptional view of the water, we have patio seating year ‘round. Come see why Dick’s has been a legend in San Antonio since the madness began 20 years ago. “This is the joint your mamma warned you about!” So consider yourself warned.
